CafePress.com is an online marketplace that offers individuals the ability to design and market their own products without the normal costs associated with running a small business. Using print on demand and e-commerce technology, users can create customized merchandise on virtually any topic. Being an election year, the amount of political merchandise has skyrocketed as it had in the two previous presidential elections. On their website you can see what percentage of their sales are going to each of the candidates on their CafePress Meter. Remarkably, this meter has been an accurate indicator of the results of the general election. Until recently there has been a substantial enthusiasm gap between the two candidates. In the last week the gap has closed significantly with the addition of the vice presidential candidates.
